Speaking of odd..

.
So I took my toyota to get serviced this weekend. All nice and good. When I went to get in and drive it home, I noticed that all my radio pre-sets were changed. WTF?
.
WHO does that to a vehicle they service?
.
I guess nobody likes country anymore...
~~~~~
I *heart* my new job.
.
The benefits are amazing, we even get to use the gym on our one hour lunch break if we want to (for a nominal fee each pay period). And we get to park underground - for a nominal fee each pay period. We pay 6% of our pay to our pension plan each pay period (the govt matches our contribution), and (yes, you guessed it!!) for a nominal fee each pay period we also get to have cappucinos or all sorts of goodies delivered to our desks each day.
.
(I can already FEEL me gain back all that weight I lost, haha)
.
However, by the time you add all these nominal fees all together, I figure I'll be bringing home about $5 every two weeks...
.
SUPER!
Should I give you my accountant's number.... ;-)
All these nominal fees MUST be tax deductible...
surely...
So glad to hear that you love your new job. Can't wait to read forthcoming posts about THE OFFICE.
Great news about the new job.
I can park underground at work for a nominal fee as well. It's $250/m. Or, there's another lot across the street that's a nominal $12/day. I normally take the bus.
You can also go shopping every day at lunch and spend a nominal amount of money.
Hey, this 'nominal' thing can work in other ways too!
Hehe - A 'nominal' amount of money is what I normally spend on shopping, you already know that about me...lol *Grin*
Leilani - Hehe...I AM the accountant. Isn't that just the funniest thing you've read all day?!
Oh my God, you're new job sounds like a DREAM job.
I would be happy simply with the office being a 5 minute drive from home... instead of a 45 minute, twice transfer subway ride followed by a 15 minute walk each way. :*(
Enjoy the good things in life girl!
Sounds like a great job, even if all the perks cost a little. Kick back and enjoy!
Heavens, your new job sounds fabulous! Well, more to the point, YOU sound fabulously happy about your new job. I'm assuming you've weighed up the pros and cons of all those nominal fees and discovered you still get more than $5 every fortnight though lol
BTW, your pre-set radio stations disappearing...was just going to say, that I THINK that if they tinker around under the bonnet, as in, removing the battery and other electrics etc, it can actually reset all the electrics/electronics in the car. I do recall that when I had a flat battery one time in my previous car, once they 'jumped' me (ooh I should be so lucky...oh shut up tart), I lost all my fav channels. Possibly same happened with yours.
(Ta daaa! I commented, somewhere, finally haha. Yep, I knew you'd be impressed lol.)
Hugs to you my sweet :)
Cool, I'm back. Blogger wouldn't let me in yesterday.
Blogger hates me ya know.
Oh, and it'll probably be more like $2.50 every two weeks.
Which arroundissement do you live in? I lived in the 16th. That's a hike! I just walked across Pont Alma to get to school and everything I needed was within walking distance or a short metro ride.
An Uncle of my husband used to say most everything Canadian was better. Someone told him, "Well, why don't you move there?" And he said, "Because then I wouldn't have any place to visit." Sounds like even jobs are better there!~D
Hi Leilani! I live in the 19th - so less glamourous than the 16th and quite a stretch from... well... pretty much any place cool in Paris. :(
I'd love to read your blog if you have one. Mine is : fnedsblog.blogspot.com (or something like that, I don't remember it by heart - perhaps you're better off just googling Fned's Blog). :)
alrighty, I've been gone too long.. so you've got a new job with benefits but no pay on the bottom line and just wondering what word *heart* is replacing??? I can think of a few and am clueless how you meant it.
